Partnership with BC Housing

In collaboration with BC Housing, Affordable Housing Societies aims to extend the reach of affordable units by offering 65 subsidized suites within Evergreen Court. Subsidized housing caters to the long-term housing needs for permanent British Columbia residents. Rent calculations adhere to an income-based model, accounting for 30% of the gross household income, with a minimum rent threshold tied to the number of occupants. Eligibility depends on one’s capacity for independent living, coupled with criteria related to household, residency, income, and assets.

To determine your eligibility, please utilize the provided link below to navigate through the online application process within the Housing Registry. Upon approval, BC Housing will provide you with a BC Housing number, marking the essential initial phase towards acquiring subsidized housing.

Catering to the Broader Spectrum

Recognizing that not everyone may qualify for a BC Housing’s subsidized suites, Affordable Housing Societies extends support through the provision of 65 units aligned with Low End of Market rates. Our goal at Evergreen Court is to provide affordable housing to those in need. These rates have been thoughtfully established to facilitate the discovery of affordable rental options in the Ladner area.

Low End of Market Units

To be eligible for a Low End of Market unit, Affordable Housing Societies will adhere to the 2024 BC Housing Low and Moderate Income Limits. This entails that the total gross annual income for all individuals within the household must not exceed $84,780 for a one-bedroom. If your household’s combined gross annual income surpasses these thresholds, you will regrettably not meet the criteria for securing a suite at Evergreen Court.

Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

If you are an Individual With an Intellectual Disability please reach out to our partner Delta Housing Be Mine Society to hear more about how you can apply for a suite in the building. They can be reached at deltahousingbemine@gmail.com.
